WREATHS across AMERICA Day
as Coppell Honors their Veterans!
(Wreaths need to be ordered by November 28.)
Coppell Republican Women and Rolling Oaks Memorial Center will host Wreaths Across America (WAA) for the 9th year at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2024. Rolling Oaks Memorial Center is located at 400 Freeport Parkway, Coppell. The ceremony is open to the public and is held simultaneously with another 2500+ sites across the country and worldwide.
WAA is committed to teaching younger generations about the value of their freedoms, and the importance of honoring those who sacrificed so much to protect those rights. Their motto is REMEMBER, HONOR, and TEACH.
All are welcome to attend the ceremony and are invited to help place wreaths on the graves of veterans. There are close to 90 veterans buried at Rolling Oaks. The City of Coppell Honor Guard will present the colors, Taps will be played, and then the wreaths will be placed by any who wishes to help.
In past years, Coppell residents have been very generous. Any overages are automatically sent to Dallas National Cemetery, as they struggle to fill their very large capacity. if you are interested in helping out, please click the button above for instructions on how to sponsor wreaths.
